My first job in high school was at a local market florist, and the rest is history! Over 10 years in the floral industry, surrounded by so many talented artists, my love for creating and appreciating art has grown. In this time I have learned that not only am I passionate about the florals or mediums themselves, but also about the connections I’ve built through art.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maine in Business and Marketing and have worked in the floral/ horticulture industry for 30 years. Flowers have always been my passion and bringing someone’s vision to life is of utmost importance. Event design and execution is my strong point. Here is a very short story how I got into the floral industry. In 2015 I got in an accident where I cracked my skull and had to have brain surgery/tbi. I was not able to work for months, my vision was sensitive, my taste was gone, my balance was off whack, I had temporary aphasia and thinking would exhaust me physically. With all this, I had to go to neuro rehab and 'retrain my brain'. Color therapy; sight exercises. Smells; memory builder. Art; improves brain function. I then asked myself, 'what the hell career has all of this to help me?' Duh. Flowers. I got lucky because I fell in love with it
