Gage Horne Studios

5.0

  • Videographer
  • Cinematic style
  • Starts at $2,600
  • Serves East Tawas, MI for additional fees

My name is Gage Horne, the owner of Gage Horne Studios. I started my company in 2019 (officially) but have been doing video work starting at the age of 11. It started as gaming videos uploaded to YouTube, to shooting professional dance films in college, to starting my own Video Production Service. I found true passion in my work when I realized how important wedding videos are. I had already shot 100+ films before my wedding but realized as a consumer how valuable it is. I love what I do and finding intriguing/interesting ways to display those pieces is what keeps me creative and constantly making my films better.

Awarded Best of Zola
Gage made us a fantastic video with beautiful shots of all aspects of the wedding. His talent is so appreciated and I can’t recommend him enough. Book him! You won’t regret it!

Here's what you should know: First, it's pronounced Sokol like 'vocal'. We're Polish... like kraut-and-pierogi-at-every-family-gathering-Polish. Second, we're a husband and wife wedding photography duo that believes it's the little things that make the story come to life. From the knowing glances across a crowded room to the hand squeezes when you're about to walk down the aisle, you can trust us to capture your most romantic, candid moments.

Sokol & Co Photo were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. Their communication style was very professional, and the quality of their work was timely, thoughtful and creative. They kept the timeline moving along throughout the day and made sure all the family and friends were where they were supposed to be. We cannot recommend Savannah enough!! She was extremely professional and took incredible engagement photos and wedding photos. We had some short notice time changes and she handled them with grace. Overall, Sokol & Co Photo played a huge role in making our special day perfect.

While photography fulfills me, wedding photography is my heartbeat. I thrive on crafting and capturing the extraordinary moments that make your day unforgettable. Allow me to be a part of your journey, transforming cherished moments into timeless treasures. Let's create your visual love story together! 📸💕

Jenna is amazing we decided we didn’t want a big wedding up here in Michigan and wanted to do a small elopement down in Tennessee and she drove all the way down there to capture our day. The photos are absolutely stunning I couldn’t be any happier and she is a great person and so understanding.

Arrae Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,400
  • Serves East Tawas, MI for additional fees

My name is Amanda Montgomery and I am Arrae Photography based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The name Arrae (pronounced [uh-rey]) came from my first initial and my middle name, Rae, added an extra r and made a new word. I wanted something unique that was also me, the idea came to mind one day and it just fit. Being a photographer is all I've ever wanted to do with my life. When I was 12 I saved up my babysitting money to buy my first 'big time' camera. I formed Arrae Photography in 2003 as a part-time venture while I worked at local photo labs, went full time in 2008.

Awarded Best of Zola
Amanda and her partner did an AMAZING job capturing our August 2024 wedding. My husband and I were blown away when we saw our gallery. She is a joy to work with and I highly recommend Arrae Photography to any couple.

Finding the right videographer was incredibly important to us because we wanted more than just photos. We wanted to capture the voices, the laughter, the tears, the movement—every emotion that made our day unforgettable. At first, we struggled to find a connection with the work we saw, but after months of searching online, we came across Alex V Films, and his work left a lasting impression on us. It was exactly what we had been searching for. From the moment we met Alex, his warm personality and passion for his craft put us completely at ease. He took the time to understand our vision, showing incredible attention to detail and truly listening to what we wanted. His talent for capturing not only the big moments but also those small, candid interactions brought everything to life in a way we could only dream of. Alex was able to beautifully weave our vows into the movement and storytelling of our film, bringing each word to life. In my vows, I shared a memory about my papa. As he approached his final days, I asked him, “Papa, what can you tell me about love?” He gently touched his chest and said, “You feel it in your heart.” Alex captured this moment with such care; as I spoke the words, “my papa touched his chest,” the video transitioned to my wife, sliding her hand gently down my chest, mirroring my papa’s gesture. It was as if he had breathed life into our vows, capturing not just the words, but the emotion and legacy behind them. Alex made the experience of working with him enjoyable. Throughout the process, his communication was top-notch, and professionalism shone through every step of the way. He was attentive of our needs and made the process easy. Alex didn’t just record our day—he captured its essence. Every look, every laugh, every precious detail we wanted to hold onto is now a part of a beautiful memory we’ll cherish for a lifetime. These are moments that photos alone could never fully capture; they’re filled with emotions that will be felt and connected to for years to come. At the beginning of this process, Alex was a stranger. As we got to know him we felt as though he became a friend. We’re forever grateful to have found Alex, who created more than just a video—he created a keepsake of our love and joy that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Sharon Valley Harp, LLC

5.0

  • Ceremony only
  • Serves East Tawas, MI for additional fees

By the time she was three years old, Olivia Claggett was asking for a harp teacher. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.

Awarded Best of Zola
Sharon Valley Harp, LLC / Olivia provided exquisite, high-quality, and truly memorable musical accompaniment for our wedding ceremony. From the moment we first spoke with the owner, we were impressed by their professional, attentive, organized, personable, and responsive communication style. They went above and beyond by learning the specific song I (the bride) wanted to walk down the aisle to, making that moment deeply personal and unforgettable. Her beautiful harp music set a tone of elegance and love throughout the ceremony, creating the perfect atmosphere and enhancing every heartfelt moment. Additionally, Sharon Valley Sweets LLC - homemade cookies that we got were absolutely amazing - each bite brought back warm memories of grandma's baking, comforting, delicious, and made with love. They were a beautiful and delicious touch that everyone adored. I highly recommend Sharon Valley Harp, LLC if you're looking for exceptional musical talent and homemade treats that make you feel right at home on your special day.

Leah Flores Photography

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves East Tawas, MI for additional fees

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, two dogs, and four cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I turn 9 this year 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
Leah photographed our wedding at my family's property in Napa Valley, June 2024. Leah took lots of time to scope out the location and seemed to be absolutely *everywhere* during the wedding, at all the right moments. I didn't have to call her over once, because she was already there. She captured the emotions of the day, the little moments, the big moments, and made our day look like the fairytale wedding that it felt like. Once we got the photo gallery back (so quickly!) we relived the day all over again. We were tearing up and laughing at all the photos. I felt like I was looking at photos from a Brides magazine, but it was me! Another thing I'll mention is that Leah gives direction in a kind, calm and encouraging way. My husband is not too confident in photos and he felt SO comfortable posing with her there, and loves his photos too! I felt like she could guide me into more flattering poses when I felt uncertain about my angles. I love Leah and her work and would recommend her to anyone!
