In 1999, the Frutig family purchased a historic farm on the West side of Ann Arbor, home to two barns dating back to the 19th century. Inspired by their daughter's wedding in 2009, Kelly launched Misty Farm, offering a picturesque setting for weddings. The success of Misty Farm led Kelly to restore a neighboring farm, giving birth to The Valley. The Frutig family takes pride in preserving the history and craftsmanship of these properties, sharing their unique beauty with the community and those seeking a truly special setting for their celebrations.

RSVP is a dream come true for owner, Nellie Mun, who has always loved hosting gatherings. Her home is always open to family, friends and dinners with clients for her wedding coordinating company, Pleasant Surprise Events. Owning a venue is just an extension of what she already loves doing. In May of 2014, she and her husband rented this cute space to host a graduation party for their son and his friends. She walked into the same space in January of 2017 and struck up a conversation with the store owner who revealed that she would be moving. The seed that was planted then has sprouted into the venue it is today. This little space is the perfect spot for your private event. Being a part of the amazing Downtown Fullerton community and supporting fellow small businesses is a gift and a privilege for Nellie. One visit to our ranch and we know you will agree that The Lazy J Ranch is truly a one-of-a-kind facility in which to host any kind of event. Situated on 30 acres in the beautiful farming area of Milford, Michigan, the Lazy J offers 2 charming barns in which to host your special occasion. Our great location in a beautiful country setting complete with down-home atmosphere and entertainment will create a memorable experience that will distinguish your event from all the rest.

Venue is set in a historic building right in Downtown Monroe along the River Raisin. Outdoor space is available for a ceremony or cocktail party prior to your indoor reception. We rent the hall for the day, 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays for $750. We rent for an 8 hour block of time Sundays through Thursdays for $375. With either rental we charge a $250 security/clean up deposit. That is refunded after the hall has been returned in clean/undamaged condition. We only rent the hall, which includes use of the tables and chairs. Your rental fee that holds your date is non-refundable. You are free to have your ceremony and reception at the facility, many people have done this in the past. For linens, dishes, food etc, you would need to contact a provider for those.
