Nu Standard was founded by accomplished multi-instrumentalist Derrick Hicks. Growing up I’ve always loved singing for small and large audiences. I’ve sang a broad range of song but now I choose to stick with inspiration & lifting songs that bring hope and bring a smile to my hearers faces. I put my all in to my performance and do everything I can to help make a couple’s happy moment one of the greatest memories they’ll ever have. I have been singing at wedding ceremonies and receptions on and off for the past 7 years. One of the most exciting weddings I’ve sang at was for a friend’s reception in Sweden!
