As a new venue, Jackie and Dan have worked hard to create a hidden gem and open up their beloved family estate as a wedding venue. You can feel the care and passion they have brought to this place, along with the care and passion they put into their clients, and vendor partners. If you are looking for an off the path and charming Upstate NY venue, their's is top notch. Close to the convenience of Cooperstown and Oneonta but remote to enjoy what Upstate NY has to offer throughout the seasons. If you're planning an event, definitely consider The Rosemary at Spano. “Absolutely stunning venue. The wedding went amazing with the help of Julie and Olivia along with the staff at Seven Ponds on our wedding day. The day was seamless and taking advantage of staying on site made the day feel stress free. It was great to have food and drink covered with the venue as this was one less vendor that could have caused stress on the big day! Planning forms were helpful to make sure all things were covered and things went according to plan. Only thing with the planning process is it seemed as if Seven Ponds tried to upsell everything and questioned some of our decisions although after talking to them, a compromise came about. Couldn’t have been happier to pick the venue for our special day and we will remember the beauty of the venue forever.”

The Pruyn House is the Cultural and Historical Center for the Town of Colonie. We have a five and 1/2 acre property, including the House, the Buhrmaster Barn, the Verdoy Schoolhouse and several other buildings. We provide access to the Barn for the reception, the garden for the ceremony, the birch grove for the cocktail hour and dressing areas in the Pruyn House and the Verdoy Schoolhouse. Tables and chairs are included. All else must be provided through rental services and catering. We have one security person who will be on site throughout your event. All else provided by caterer or rental service.

“I got married at the Pruyn House 20 years ago and have been planning and designing weddings there ever since. I started a floral design and wedding planning business called Intuition Events and Floral Design, as a result of my experience with the Pruyn House. They were so incredibly helpful and welcoming! They try to make it as easy as possible to come into the space and create the wedding of your dreams! The grounds are breathtaking and every corner provides you with an amazing photo backdrop. It is also in such close proximity to many hotel, which makes it so convenient for guests from out of town. There is a bridal suite and the school house is the perfect spot for the groom and groomsmen to get ready. They allow you to come in the day before and have access to the space if you want to have your rehearsal, drop off items or DIY anything. I cannot recommend the Pruyn House enough! Beautiful spot that you would never know is in the middle of Latham!”
