Founded in 2010 by bassist, Daniel Gallagher and Guitarist Josh Earls; Chasing Autumn started out under the name “Sullivan”. Sullivan played acoustic duet style songs and quickly moved on to more elaborate songs, adding vocals and more instruments. In 2013, preceding the release of their 3rd album “Northern Lights” the band saw the addition of singer, Logan Harpine. Hi, my name is DJ Roscoe but I am also known as DJ Chop! I am from Southern Maryland and started DJ’ing about 5 years ago. Grant Kuhnsman, who performs as DJ ARIA, is a critically acclaimed, award-winning DJ from Washington, DC. He began creating mixtapes and curating his music collection at a young age. The Bele Bele Rhythm Collective is an intergenerational, diverse group of ~20 women from DC and surrounding areas who all share a passion for drumming. Founded in 2008 and led by Drumlady Kristen Arant, the BBRC performs tightly sewn compositions of polyrhythms on dun-uns and djembes, along with exciting breaks, contagious songs, and dancing. The BBRC performs to celebrate unity and diversity, and to spread the joy and power of West African drumming to the community at-large. The BBRC recently released their first album, “Roots.”

Louis Jones is professional, experienced, and a versatile musician whose repertoire embraces different genres including jazz standards, pop ballads, funk/soul, latin, and modern tunes adapted to his unique style. He is available for corporate and private functions, birthday parties, weddings, special occasions, and receptions.

Monikais a professional harpist in Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia where she is in demand as a performer and teacher. Current teaching appointments include the Levine School of Music, and the Concord Hill School. She maintains a private harp studio in her home and directs the Maryland Classic Youth Harp Ensemble at Strathmore Hall. Monika is a regular coach for the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras and Young Artists of America, also at Strathmore. She serves on the board of directors at Young Artists of America.

Kristen is a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Harp Performance with a Voice Minor. She has toured nationally with the New Christy Minstrels, and played with such names as Ray Charles, Tony Bennet, Victor Borge and Shirley Jones.

While studying Jazz, Tyler has also been able to work with Jeff Antoniak; Steve Rochinski, head of Berklee’s harmony department; Kenny Rittenhouse; Mike Pope, and many others.

Amaris Trio is a wedding classical music ensemble operating out of Reston, Virginia. Élan Noelle is an exceptional singer with a crowd pleasing repertoire consisting of Jazz standards, RnB, Soul and Pop hits from today and yesteryear. Her vocals are accompanied by guitar or piano and together this acoustic duo presents an enticing musical performance. Élan has been performing in the DMV region and throughout the East Coast for over a decade with some of the most talented musicians renowned in the area.

Benjamin played at the Hampton University Graduation where President Obama was the guest speaker. He has played at several venues in the Hampton, Virginia area to include the Hampton Coliseum. Benjamin returned to the Washington, DC area to continue his musical career. Currently, Benjamin plays the cello at various venues around the Washington metropolitan area to include Chinatown, Georgetown, Eastern Market, and Dupont Circle. He is a cellist with the Sanctified Symphony Orchestra; and the Cellist in the musical, the Cortical Titanic.

Tiffany Rose is blessed to come from a gifted musical family. Her mother, Gail Shanta, is an accomplished harpist and has been playing in the DC area for over 30 years. Tiffany grew up playing for special occasions with Gail, and they add that special charm to an event, as a mother/daughter duo. In addition, Tiffany’s sister, Katie Shanta, is an accomplished violinist with a music degree from George Mason University. Tiffany and Katie have performed together for many weddings, as well as with their mother as a trio. The Shanta Family at its best!

Cristian began taking piano lessons at the age of 5, but did not find his true passion until he picked up the guitar in his mid-teens after being inspired by rock groups from Argentina. Self-taught on guitar, he gravitated towards classical guitar after moving to the U.S. in 2002. Encouraged to pursue music by his high school teacher Ken Hall, Cristian met Paraguayan guitarist extraordinaire Berta Rojas, under whom he studied privately for two years.

I’m a Washington, DC area based musician, DJ and instructor. I play local and regional shows all around the DC Metro area and beyond. My shows range from DJ, solo acoustic performances with loop pedals and multiple instruments, to my duo, the Two Man Trio with drummer Adam Stauffer, and various full bands.

He has performed as a freelance violinist with several different ensembles in the area including the Umoja Quartet and the Soulful Symphony which featured performances with Wynton Marsalis, Donnie Mcclurkin, Donald Lawrence, Ledisi, Ruben Studdard, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong among others.

Electric Violinist Alina began her musical endeavor at the very young age of 5, taking up both the violin and piano. For the next two decades, she studied under the tutelage of several world renowned Violinists and Conductors. She graduated with a Masters Degree from the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2015. Throughout her college studies and up to the present day, she has performed at over 250 wedding ceremonies as well as countless Corporate Events and Private Parties.

Fred is a fixture on the Washington music scene for 25 years, is an experienced, successful and diverse cellist, who is dependable and easy to work with. He has mastered classical, jazz, rock, blues, Celtic and pop styles, and has delighted audiences all over the country. Locally, he has played the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, Birchmere, Ram’s Head, Blues Alley, Twins Lounge, and The State Theater, just to mention a few. He is a true cross over artist as a cellist. He has played numerous wedding parties, recitals and other gigs, both as a soloist, and with every possible music combination, from string quartets to jazz combos to rock bands.

Tim Thulson is a veteran of the DC freelance scene, in high demand as a cellist both at home and abroad. Tours have included Japan, England, Germany, and the Middle East. As an orchestral musician, Tim’s engagements include principal cello for DC’s unconducted Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra, as well as frequent appearances with the contemporary-focused Great Noise Ensemble. As a soloist, Tim premiered Iordanishvili’s “Character” for the Atlas Emerging Composer’s forum. But Tim’s key musical passion is for chamber music, and he has been privileged to perform and record with a variety of Washington’s best small ensembles.

THE HALL PROJECT has been years in the making. John Dixon Hall, Jr. has been playing in the Baltimore/DC music scene since he was 15 years old. His grandmother and his musical idol Stevie Wonder, were the catalyst for him to pick up the piano. His father, who was also an amazing drummer, exposed him to everything from Billy Joel to Ray Charles. Most recently, he has found a new love in New Orleans style piano. With the help of his good friends and GREAT musicians, Barry Sherard, Marcin “Samba” Otrebski and John Nichols, his vision has come to life in THE HALL PROJECT!

Quentin is an active composer, pianist, and music educator in the Washington DC area. He composes for piano and his jazz combo, blending memorable melodies and striking rhythms with adventurous improvisations. Quentin just released his new single, “Pipe Smoke”. Recorded with his trio, the song and improvisation captures Quentin’s dynamic writing and playing style. As music and jazz educator, Quentin spreads the joy of learning and playing music to individuals of all ages.

Chris Stiles is an international musician with over 20 years of experience performing in the US and Asia. Originally from Phoenix, AZ, he arrived on the Washington, DC music scene in early 2018 and has quickly become a valued member of the musical community. Through the years, he has had the privilege of performing with a number of renown artists, including the legendary r&b group The Temptations.

Performing in the entertainment industry is not only my profession, it is my joy. I have worked with top selling artists from the past, performed on cruise ships for a decade, and so much more. Currently hailing from our Nation’s Capital, Billy “T” Wilde is an American live performing, singer / songwriter. With just his guitar and thundering voice, Billy performs both a stripped down yet high energy one-man-band act, as well as a duo, Blues, Pop / Rock group along with his percussionist. He is part of a growing trend of looping artist’s that are able to use a looping pedal to layer musical harmonies to reproduce the sound, feel and energy of a full band

Christine is an active performer. As a soloist, she has performed in concerts at the Kennedy Center, Strathmore Hall, Dumbarton House, the Gallery at The Ellipse, and various Embassies in Washington, among other venues. Christine is an experienced educator. An alumna of the Inspired Teaching Institute, she teaches at Sidwell Friends School, and at Fillmore Arts Center in Washington, DC and is Washington Performing Arts teaching artist for the Capitol Strings program.

Sharif – who is currently earning his Masters at the Berklee College of Music – has made quite a name for himself on the touring front as well, vacillating from playing intimate solo acoustic shows of his original material to belting out cover tunes (from Rihanna’s “Disturbia” to Maroon 5’s “Won’t Go Home Without You” to Beastie Boys “Girls”) at biker bars to playing one of his favorite genres of music, oldies, at retirement centers (because he wants to, not because he has to) to corporate gigs for Gap and Amstel Light to opening for the likes of Jason Mraz, Kenny Loggins, Rhett Miller, Rusted Root, and Blake Shelton.

Illinois-born Ken is a study in contradictions: a guitarist who plays saxophone, a singer who writes instrumentals, a purveyor of restless sentimentality who continues to search for truths best found within. As a singer-songwriter now based in Washington DC, Ken has been gaining attention locally and regionally with his midwestern-accented musings, telling stories spun from a life spent moving from town to town. The TSR Orchestra is a unique society dance orchestra specializing in classic dance music from the 1920s to the new millennium. Extremely versatile, this group performs as a core 5-pc. to a small orchestra with fabulous vocals, horns and strings. Complete with vintage tuxedos and deco-styled bandstands, this talented group of performers transitions seamlessly from the swinging sounds of the big bands and Sinatra to the more modern dance styles of Pop/Rock/Motown/Disco/Latin/R&B and more.

What you don’t know about Frank is that he comes from a multi-generational line of musical and entertainment family members stretching back to his grandfather noted Puerto Rican guitarist Paco Sanchez. That heritage passed on through his children to Frank and his cousins and uncles who relocated to New York. Frank and his family moved from their home in the Bronx to the Washington area in the late ‘90’s. One of his cousin played a key role in developing the choreography seen in Michael Jackson’s Thriller. On his Mother’s side traditional Peruvian influences have played a huge role in his formation.

Born in 1967, and raised on Long Island, Dave got into Rock music very young, and went on to play in bands all through high school and college. While attending American University Dave was deeply inspired by a jazz history class taught by the great Jazz Historian Rusty Hassan, and was bitten by the “ Jazz Bug “. Eventually he settled into the Washington D.C. jazz scene where he studied with guitarists Paul Bollenback and Paul Wingo. He also studied ear training with Asher Zlotnik.

Denver has performed in many capacities and venues such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, VCU, Shenandoah Conservatory, Randolph Macon College, and Maymont Park.Denver is an experienced teacher and has been teaching for over 7 years. She is the resident guitar teacher for the Music Therapy Department at Shenandoah Conservatory. Denver is currently offering Skype lessons and private lessons in the Winchester area.

Washington DC-based vocalist Kevin Rose has been praised as “a performer with skill and confidence, not to mention a gorgeous, clear voice.” A versatile singer, Kevin can shift styles with ease from pop and jazz to musical theater and classical music. This is evidenced by his varied resume; in 2017 Kevin performed in the US tour of Dido and Aeneas with the Mark Morris Dance Group, and was also invited to bring his cabaret series “If Not Now, When?” to the historic Metropolitan Room in NYC. Kevin can be seen headlining a successful entertainment band that plays weddings and corporate events all over the DMV.

DJ Rich Barreto is a native of the Bronx, N.Y. Growing up in New York City and attending the exciting shows of legendary hip hop and house artists such as Grandmaster Flash, DJ Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa and Larry Levan during the 70s and 80s, inspired him to become a professional DJ and entertainer. After successfully working in the New York area for 15 years, he relocated to Washington, DC where he continues to be an in demand performer for clubs, weddings and corporate events.

Having collaborated on numerous acclaimed albums and toured the event scenes, providing amazing club and corporate entertainment at venues on every continent, our DJ & Electric Violin Duo are truly some of the best in the industry.

Humbly inspired by the acoustic guitar-driven music of who he likes to call the Three J’s (Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, and John Mayer) Ian Otto Collins brings a little bit of pop, a splash of jazz, and a whole lot of rhythm to his guitar playing and singing. No surprise here though, as he started off his musical career early a classically trained percussionist-eventually playing drum set in one of the state’s top high school big bands (Glenelg), while also holding it down on the tenor drums during marching/football season.

Cory is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who has been gigging in the DMV for many years. Mixing covers and originals, he sings and plays on his acoustic guitar performing at many local bars and venues.

Carlos is an emerging cellist from the beautiful country Venezuela. Music has been a part of him since an early age. After receiving piano and solfege lessons for a couple of years, he quickly fell in love with the melodies of an instrument that he never imagined he could play, the cello. Enthusiastic and eager to be part of big music ensembles, he joined the Latin American Academy of Cello in his home country and was also awarded a spot in two of the most prominent symphony orchestras of his hometown.

Chris is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player from the Washington D.C. area, with over 20 years experience playing 2,000+ events during that time. Chris spent many years with the Lloyd Dobler Effect, now the Capital Effect, as well as performing solo, duo, and jazz shows in 37 states, and 13 countries.

Andy is the front/main singer in one of the hottest bands in Baltimore. Listening to him play and sing is an experience. He is so talented and his voice is like no other. His diverse palette draws from such genres as funk, folk, rock and pop, and has entertained audiences throughout the east coast. Andy Branigan has shared the stage with such acts as Patti Smith, Sam Sparrow and American Idol winner Phillip Phillips.

Keeping it simple and soulful, Brent combines rock, country, reggae and pop with improvisation to create memorable and refreshing music with heart and soul. Performing over 250 shows a year, this is a sound crafted on the road and in front of audiences in Washington, DC & nationwide .

Charlie Hodgson has been in love with music ever since he began teaching himself to play guitar at the age of 13. In the 20 years since then, he has found numerous outlets for his vocal and instrumental talents through an array of original and cover projects. From writing stripped-down acoustic originals to fronting a full-blown 90’s cover band, Charlie has found that each new project has allowed him to expand his vocal range and fine-tune his guitar skills.

Jason has performed either in the orchestra or on stage for over 50 musicals to date. Some of his past theater credits include “The Robber Bridegroom” (Harp Family Band), “Fiddler on the Roof!” (Fiddler), “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” (Violin) PA/VA, “Ring of Fire” (Seth) PA/FL/AZ, “Lost Highway” (Loudmouth Leon), “Glory Bea! A Shenandoah Christmas Story” (Zeke) and “Aida” (Nubian), “Man of La Mancha” (Juan/The Moor).

DJ Anthony is one of the latest acts in the DC area and he brings energy and Millennial youth to the top social and corporate events. Growing up as a gamer, computer programmer and web site builder, DJ Anthony has combined all of that into his act as a DJ. From an early age, he developed playlists for the top mashups and digital tracks, however he also has an understanding of the different eras of music that became the foundation for the music of today. Keynote is a professionally managed and produced music group that features high-energy performers playing the most popular and new pop music favorites. The band has delighted audiences around the country with their young energetic performers. The basic format is seven pieces, which includes a male and female singer, guitar, bass/keys, drums, sax and trumpet. Keynote also has its own professional sound engineer who accompanies the band and mixes each performance. Additional performers are frequently added, including additional singers, horn players or percussionists.

Ellington has a rich musical career that consists of teaching, performing, producing, and composing. He performs jazz regularly, accompanies for choirs, soloists, and collaborates with various ensembles. He is self employed as a freelance performer and teacher. Ellington holds a Bachelors of Music Degree in Jazz Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Music Technology, both from University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

Retro, smooth, and timeless. Sweet Something was created by vocalist and front-woman, Ariana Harbin, with the intention of bringing her favorite jazz tunes of yesteryear back to life. Expect to hear the great music of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra, Nat King Cole and more during the band’s performance.
