We had an amazing experience. Ceremony at the Riverside Park. Reception in the Ballroom. Beautiful venue right by the river. Reasonably priced. One night of complementary hotel stay. Pet friendly. Excellent communication. Food was good. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. We had horse drawn carriage and got it all worked out within a month. We added more people to our guest list a few days before the wedding and the venue was able accommodate everyone. We had some hiccups day of but it all got sorted out promptly. I cannot expressed how easy it was to work with Anna (event coordinator) and the all of the other staffs.

The Rose House

Stevens Point, WI
  • Up to 180 guests

The Rose House is in a unique and historic building that was built in 1925. It is most widely known for being the elegant and delightful “Hot Fish Shop” for many years. Our goal is to provide you with a classy, historic, and artsy “blank canvas” allowing for your events to be just that, yours. We offer a historic downtown vibe for your wedding day and are always honored to celebrate with you. We are prepared to offer both ceremony and reception space. Our mission is to be a light in the downtown, to celebrate your celebrations, provide space for your needs, and value all who enter. Thank you for considering us for your events!

  • All-inclusive venue packages
  • Handles all cleanup logistics
  • Classic, vintage atmosphere

Venue considerations

  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
  • Does not allow pets
I discovered The Rose House through a coworker because her daughter had her reception there. When I went to visit this location I knew this is what I was looking for! My wedding theme was Fall in the Shire and The Rose House definitely feels like you're at a pub in a mystical land. The bar is decorated beautifully with a mermaid/nautical feel, lots of gorgeous exposed brick walls, and a beautiful rose mural. And there are so many twinkling lights! The bathrooms are nice and big enough to fit a bride in a wedding gown. Rosalind was helpful with the planning process and great on the day of my wedding by letting the vendors know what to do. Her staff was awesome, I especially LOVED her bartenders. The marquee out front with our names on it is such a fun touch to the venue. We ordered the french fry and pretzel snack station later in the night and it was delicious! It was sad when we had to take down the decorations and leave because it was so beautiful, I wanted it to stay like that forever. The location is great and I really couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue.
