The Clubhouse is ideal for gatherings of up to 100 people. The building, designed by Charles E. Hodges was constructed in 1916. The Clubhouse is a lovely venue for private parties, weddings, recitals and off-site meetings. Guests enter through a charming portico on Homer Avenue into a spacious foyer. The main room is a simply designed space with grand proportions. On two sides, tall windows flood the room with light, which reflects off polished maple floors. Eight brass-and-glass fixtures are suspended from the high ceiling, and dark wood wainscoting and trim throughout add period character. This room includes a stage, framed by a red velvet curtain and illuminated by footlights. There is a grand piano available for musical accompaniment. Buffets are usually set up in the adjacent Fireside Room which is joined to the main room by folding French doors.

The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. Founded in 2009 as Linden Street Brewery, we became the first community-based production brewery in Oakland since Golden West Brewery closed in the 1950s. In 2017, we moved to the Jack London District and rebranded as Oakland United Beerworks. Today, we are proud to continue The Town's great brewing tradition. We have a two tiered indoor space with the upper level mezzanine overlooking the brewery. Seating for approximately 70 people indoors with seating for another 40 people outdoors.
