As a kid, I always thought I would grow up to be a professional baseball player. I wanted to travel the world playing a sport I loved more than anything else! As I grew up (and hit the realization that I probably wasn't cut out for professional sports), music and photography became my passion! We met at a smoothie and film party in college, during which, I (Matt) let out my inner Shakespeare and screamed at Rachel from a balcony. We were married in Texas Hill country amidst close friends. Rachel forgot she needed a bouquet, but a close friend came to the rescue. We made promises to each other and then took time to pray to make promises to God about our marriage. We did without much of the traditional aspects of a wedding: no dancing, no toasts, no exchanged rings, no wedding party…you get the idea…but we did spend 3 hours with their wedding videographers. The day was perfect, because it was perfect for us.

Lisa earned a Master of Music degree in Harp Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. She has performed as Principal Harpist with the Austin Civic Orchestra since 2010. Lisa has experience providing background music for a variety of events, including weddings, Sunday brunch at restaurants, art gallery openings, receptions, and assisted living/senior center events. Lisa has performed at holiday parties for Tiffany & Co. and for the Texas Secretary of State. Lisa is also available for hire to play at church services, in orchestras and bands, for school programs, and as a studio musician for recordings.
