Ray handpicked the first 8 members, rebranded the band as Big Ray and the Kool Kats, had a rehearsal or 2, recorded a demo and almost immediately the band found itself with almost more work than it could handle. 8 guys traveling around, throwing the equipment into Ray’s conversion band and playing everything from outdoor concerts to nightclubs to fraternity parties, each all the while holding down full time day gigs.

It is important to find someone whose work you LOVE — but I also believe that it is just as important to find someone who will bring out the best of who you are within those photos. My favorite quote from Annie Leibovitz is “a thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.” This resonates with every aspect of what I believe in. I find it important to get to know you, find out who you are and what you both are to each other. Photography is my passion — I will never give you anything but my all.

Kevin and I live in Maryland, about 20 minutes outside of Baltimore, with our daughters Payton and Hallie and our rescue pup Sadie! When I am not shooting weddings or families I am either cuddling with Kevin and the girls watching Netflix, getting my sweat on at the gym, volunteering with the beautiful souls at Araminta Freedom Initiative, spending time with friends and family, or dreaming of our next beach trip.
