“Super helpful coordinators. We had the ceremony and reception here and it was perfect for a small to medium wedding. They have center pieces to rent and they set up all the tables and linens so you have virtually no set up to do at the venue. You can’t hang stuff on the walls but the space so so beautiful and decorated already so you don’t really need much. The food was delicious also.”

The staff at The River Center ensured that everything went off without a hitch, including a room flip during cocktail hour. Aside from all the logistics running smoothly, food and beverage was great. The bartenders were fun and friendly. Our guests expressed how much they enjoyed the food. Overall, I'm so happy to have been married at The River Center and would certainly recommend it to any engaged couples looking for a wedding venue in Des Moines!”

While it’s not the cheapest venue out there it is by far the most beautiful and requires less decor - potentially saving you money on other items. The only thing that we wish the venue did have was a room for the groom/groomsmen to get ready.”
