1910. That’s when this studio was built. That’s more than 100 years ago. Before the Titanic. Before World War I. Of course, when they built it they didn’t know it was a studio. They thought they’d built a factory for transforming raw cotton into fire-retardant fabrics. And they did just that for about 84 years. Next came a few years of hand-wringing and a few more of neglect and abandonment. In 2007, they finally turned it over to Jason Ivany. He set it back on track and transformed it into the daylight studio it was always meant to be just before the 100 year mark.

FAQs about wedding venues in Atlanta, GA

For a 100-guest wedding in Atlanta, expect a total budget of $27,800 to $41,800, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. Venues typically represent about 14% of your total budget. Based on Zola marketplace data, Atlanta wedding venue starting prices range from $2,500 to $6,500, with a median of $4,750.

Your largest expenses will be florists ($6,276), venues ($4,911), and catering ($3,929). This is higher than the national median wedding cost of $25,000, but Atlanta's metro area pricing aligns with regional trends. Smaller weddings of 50 guests run $16,900–$25,300, while larger celebrations of 200 guests range from $47,300–$70,900.

Atlanta venues span three main capacity tiers, each with different price points:

  • Small venues (≤50 guests): Starting from $1,325. Ideal for intimate celebrations.
  • Medium venues (51–150 guests): Starting from $5,679. The most popular choice for traditional weddings.
  • Large venues (150+ guests): Starting from $6,477. Perfect for grand celebrations.

Budget scales with guest count: 50 guests ($16,900–$25,300), 100 guests ($27,800–$41,800), 150 guests ($38,100–$57,200), and 200 guests ($47,300–$70,900). When choosing a venue, consider both your guest list and your overall budget—venue costs are typically 14% of your total wedding spend, so a larger space will affect other line items like catering and florals.

Three top-rated venues consistently receive praise from Atlanta couples:

The Westside Warehouse — 5.0/5 (7 reviews), starting at $4,750. A versatile industrial-chic space that design professionals love. One couple noted: "As a design and planning team we have worked in a lot of spaces. Westside Warehouse goes above and beyond in every..."

The Trolley Barn — 5.0/5 (5 reviews), starting at $6,500. A distinctive historic venue with character and charm, ideal for couples seeking a memorable backdrop.

Le'Chosewood Oasis — 5.0/5 (4 reviews), starting at $2,200. An elegant garden setting that offers exceptional value for intimate gatherings.

Yes. Atlanta's downtown area and adjacent neighborhoods like Midtown, Inman Park, and Grant Park offer excellent wedding venue options with easy access to hotels, restaurants, and iconic photo locations.

The downtown corridor is walkable and guest-friendly, with proximity to landmarks like the Atlanta BeltLine—a popular backdrop for wedding photography. Midtown venues tend to have modern, urban aesthetics, while Inman Park and Grant Park offer a mix of historic charm and contemporary spaces. The Westside Warehouse and The Trolley Barn are both centrally located and easily accessible from downtown hotels and transportation hubs. This proximity reduces guest travel time and simplifies logistics, making downtown and near-downtown venues popular choices for Atlanta weddings.

Atlanta's mild climate makes fall (September–November) and spring (April–May) the most popular—and most expensive—wedding seasons. These months offer comfortable temperatures, beautiful natural backdrops (especially with flowering trees in spring and changing leaves in fall), and consistently pleasant weather for outdoor ceremonies and receptions.

Winter and early summer are considered off-peak seasons and often feature venue discounts of 20–30%, allowing you to stretch your budget. However, peak season venues book 6–12 months in advance, so popular spaces may be unavailable if you're planning a fall or spring wedding without early booking.

Summer heat can be intense, and late fall brings occasional rain, but many couples embrace these seasons to save significantly on venue costs while still creating beautiful celebrations.

Atlanta offers good value compared to the national average. The national median wedding cost is $25,000, while an Atlanta 100-guest wedding ranges from $27,800–$41,800, placing it slightly above the national median but well below the metro average of $50,098.

When compared to nearby Savannah (100 guests: $27,000–$40,500), Atlanta's pricing is nearly identical, making both cities similarly affordable for Southeastern weddings. Atlanta's advantage lies in venue diversity—from historic estates in Buckhead to modern warehouse spaces in Midtown—allowing couples to find options across many price points. At a median of $4,750 for venue starting prices, Atlanta venues are reasonably priced relative to catering and other services, which means you can allocate more of your budget to florals, photography, and other priorities.

Atlanta's wedding venue market is competitive, especially during peak season (April through October). We recommend booking your venue 12 to 18 months in advance to secure your preferred date and location. Popular neighborhoods and well-reviewed venues often fill 18+ months out, particularly for Saturday dates in spring and fall.

If you're planning a winter or weekday wedding, you may have more flexibility with 6 to 12 months' notice. Venue costs in Atlanta typically range from $2,500 to $6,500 based on Zola marketplace data, and early booking often gives you better availability and sometimes negotiating power on pricing. Contact venues directly as soon as you have your target date—availability moves quickly in Atlanta's active wedding market.

Atlanta's most popular wedding neighborhoods each offer distinct character:

  • Buckhead: Known for upscale, elegant venues with refined event spaces and luxury accommodations for guests.
  • Midtown: Vibrant and trendy, offering modern venues, proximity to restaurants and nightlife, and an urban backdrop.
  • Inman Park: Historic charm with tree-lined streets, eclectic indie venues, and a creative community feel.
  • Grant Park: Established residential area near Piedmont Park, ideal for outdoor ceremonies and relaxed gatherings.
  • Virginia-Highland: Neighborhood charm with boutique venues and easy access to local shops and dining.

Each area serves different wedding styles and guest counts. Consider your vision, guest size, and whether you want urban energy or residential calm when choosing your neighborhood.
