Look: the real gift is knowing YOU and it's something we cherish! That's corny and we know it but we don't care. We also recognize that most folks are traveling to our festivities and will be committing time and resources to your visit. Street Roots is a nonprofit org here in Portland that publishes a weekly newspaper sold by vendors who are unhoused and experiencing poverty to earn an income. We have a few vendors in our neighborhood and outside of purchasing the paper, donating to the org is a direct way to offer support. Street Roots says that $1000 prints one week of the paper and creates nearly $10,000 in income opportunity for vendors.
