With teamLab's Planets, the art collective teamLab has created an endlessly Instagrammable, sumptuous, and surreal collection of installations dedicated to multi-sensory digital art. Dubbed “body-immersive” displays, the seven large-scale artworks are connected by maze-like, dark corridors that lead to wide-open, dazzling spaces. There’s a knee-deep wading pool filled with digital carp that morph into flowers, a glittering mirrored enclave of infinite crystal lights, and a “garden” filled with larger-than-life floating flowers and mossy hills topped with giant glowing ovoids. You can expect to get lost along the way, but that’s part of the fun.

Copper and wood greet you inside this minimalist sanctuary dedicated to sado, the Japanese “way of tea.” A small retail space filled with glass jars containing 30 varieties of green tea conceals an intimate eight-seat cafe. Founder Shinya Sakurai studied for 14 years to become a master, and his modern take on tea ceremony is meditative and illuminating. As Sakurai prepares the infusions behind an L-shaped wooden counter, a continuous stream of water flows from a copper tap—a symbol of purification.
