Anna and Ben felt it was time to leave the college IKEA silverware behind and upgrade to fancy silverware that they hope to own for the rest of their lives.

Turns out moving across the country and getting married in a 2 month period is 1. Exhausting and 2. expensive.

When Anna met Ben he didn’t know what composting was. He told her when he first moved into his Seattle apartment his mom lifted the lid of the shared compost bin and exclaimed “BEN DONT EVER USE THAT IT SMELLS AWFUL THERE ARE MAGGOTS.” When Anna and Ben moved in together Anna showed Ben the climate-friendly way of the personal counter top compost bin, and his life was changed forever.

Anna & Ben may be breaking a cardinal rule of dish-buying by picking Lenox glassware and dishes that are from different pattern collections, but alas, they are true rebels at heart.

THESE DISHES! Anna is obsessed. Enough said.

The internet says these are the best salt and pepper grinders, and WE LOVE SALT AND PEPPER.

The satisfaction Anna will feel when all her baking flours and goods are in matching bins that stack will be more than you could possibly imagine. 🥲

A little themed decor for our new kitchen

Anna recently read that in sourdough bread making (one of her favorite pastimes, obviously acquired during COVID) using metal bowls is preferable to plastic ones because there’s less risk of the bowl imparting unwanted “flavors” into the dough because plastic is more porous than metal. She is not sure if this is true or not, but if she needs new mixing bowls she may as well try out the metal ones.

Anna fell in love with this dish pattern when she happened upon it parusing registry dishes. It has taken everything in her to not list every available item in this pattern on the registry (because we do live in a small apartment with limited storage). But this try seems like a worthy addition to the plates and bowls.

Funny enough the brand Ello made these really fun lego/doll sort of toys that Anna played with as a child. Now as an adult she gets to play with the tupperware I guess.

Anna has been kindly tolerating using Ben’s old college-era stained and scratched and bent sheet pans for about 4 years too long. Its time for a change.

In all honestly Anna has only ever drempt of using one of these rimless baking sheets. There is nothing more annoying then going to scoop a soft, fresh cookie off a rimmed baking sheet and absolutely smooshing it into oblivion because you just can’t quite get the right spatula angle.

Ben found this cutting board after EXTENSIVE research (his favorite pasttime) on the topic. We have two in different sizes and absolutely love them.
