Over the course of our time across the ocean from family, we have hoped for the opportunity to be stationed closer to home. That time has finally come as John has accepted an offer in Quantico, VA! We are looking forward to being geographically closer to our loved ones, and with that excitement, we have thought of ways we can most enjoy the company of our families for our time on the East Coast. As we’ve begun to build our life together, we have learned the importance of gathering and being together. You might have noticed from our registry, there is an emphasis on cooking and entertaining. Game nights and dinner parties are something we hope to incorporate into the home and family we are building together. Though we will be far from most family and friends, it is so important for us to create a space everyone can enjoy when they step into our home. Good quality pieces of cookware, bakeware, and tableware can last a lifetime and create so many memories along the way. I (Sheyenne) still remember the dishes that were used to serve breakfast at my great grandparent’s home; mainly the metal dish that held the sausage links😋 We wish we could say we share a love of thrifting and antiquing, but that is all Sheyenne. She loves hunting for vintage PYREX, depression glass, and tableware pieces that have already stood the test of time. So we have started this fund for those beloved pieces that aren’t available on a store you can register for. The pieces that were a huge part of a different family’s story. Most importantly, the pieces that make a house a home.
