Our favorite illustrator, Yelena Bryksenkova; we've collected her work for years, and it fills our home. She illustrated our wedding invitations for us, so maybe her work looks familiar. We love Yelena's modern take on the classic "bathing nude".

I love these publications. Sam's dad has gifted me a subscription to their quarterly magazine for the last couple of years, and I'd love to be inspired by their new book, all about the home.

Believe us when we tell you that sheets are a big deal in our home. We've been eyeing and researching linen sheets for years, but have been waiting for a special occasion to add them to our home; what occasion is more special than our wedding! Linen is one of the few things that get better with age, wear, and washing. Sam continues to refuse the idea of pink sheets, but we've compromised - one set of pillowcases is OK :)

We love house plants, and would cover every surface of our house with them if we could! It's hard to express just how much we love them. We especially love succulents, as they're kitty friendly :) You can't actually purchase succulents on Gardeners website, but they're certainly available in their gorgeous Burlington and Williston greenhouses.

We love this museum (and the gardens!). Sam is allowed free entry with his Harvard ID, and it would be so nice to have the freedom to visit as often as we're able. The collections are outstanding, and their events are so fun.

A special bit of help to keep my skin from misbehaving under pressure

This honey holds a special place in our hearts: when Sam and I first met, my neighbor was a bee keeper at Champlain Valley Apiaries, and he introduced us to their raw honey. We were obsessed with it, and put it on or in everything; so many honey sandwiches were packed for hikes, and we put it in our coffee, and on our swiss chard, which grew in the backyard. Beautiful and so indulgent, and very reminiscent of our first days.

Sam and I met in Middlebury because of Hurricane Irene; he was a friend of my roommate's girlfriend, and his intentions had been to pass through for one day only, on his way from New Jersey to New Hampshire. As the storm heated up and we were stranded inside my apartment, the weather outside wild, I offered him gjetost, finncrisp, and Midnight Sun coffee. He in turn, asked me if I wanted to go wine tasting with him. Right then. While in the hurricane. I said yes, and today we're both thankful I did. The winery we went to was terrible, but Lincoln Peak is its neighbor, and we frequented often, buying bottles for camping or hiking trips. Black Sparrow is our favorite, but hard to find outside the winery. La Crescent, another wonderful white, is another favorite, and more readily available at shops like City Market and Cheese Traders. It's such a special memory for us, and this might be fun to share during the wedding. The power of yes! As an aside, I later learned that Sam actually does not enjoy coffee, but he said yes that day, too.

Sam's family is Swedish (Carlson, Carlsson, Johnson, Anderson, Nentil!), and proud of it. As a new family we really love creating new traditions that combine the heritage of both our families, but when it comes to special occasions we've truly enjoyed embracing Scandinavian customs (Christmas time St. Lucia bread, Summer Solstice engagement, Midsummer's Eve wedding...I could go on!). The Dala Horse has become a symbol of Sweden, and we'd love to include these guys in our festivity lineup.

This publication is gorgeous, and full of interesting natural tinctures and concoctions I'd like to create, and plans for indoor and outdoor gardens. Gorgeous.

I'm in love with this bright pink (which, in person, is even more lovely than this photo). I plan to wear this shade at our wedding, and everything about it, right down to its elegant package, is perfect for the day.

We're so fortunate to be so close to Martha's Vineyard! We love biking there, and plan to do it again. Round trip tickets, for us and our bikes, is $25 each.
