Unfortunately, Whisper can't join us for the honeymoon (she's been on a Carabineros watch list due to her suspected role in the 1973 Chilean coup d'état), but she has specifically requested we bring back a pet alpaca for her as a gift. In the event that importing an alpaca is logistically and/or legally impossible, we will apply the alpaca fund toward additional honeymoon expenses.

Christie just so happened to schedule the honeymoon during Portillo's Top Wines of Chile Week (Not at all part of her master plan. Probably.), where the finest Chilean vineyards provide daily tastings and wine-paired dinners at Hotel Portillo.

Help us add a new continent to our collection of mountain selfies! We're planning on spending our first four nights in Chile at Hotel Portillo because it's the best (and only) hotel on the mountain.

We'll need a large suitcase to pack for our honeymoon in Chile (and for Whisper to eventually claim as a cozy napping spot)

As we are both seasoned veterans of the Whaleback Mountain Thursday Night Race League, it should come as no surprise that we will start our honeymoon skiing in Portillo, one of the principal destinations for ski racer training.

We invite you to make over/under bets on: (1) number of Chilean beers consumed at Tío Bob's; (2) number of empanadas consumed after competing in the Thursday hotel-wide Sol de Portillo race; (3) amount of time spent making proprietary French fry sauce at Ski Box

Our research indicates that Hotel Portillo offers a fantastic culinary experience. Our research also indicates that Hotel Portillo is the only place to get dinner in the mountains.

If only LATAM would let us register for ticket add-ons to be seated away from shrieking children and/or belligerent passengers.

After our trip to the Eiffel Tower, we discovered our love for drinking overpriced cocktails from tall buildings. Sure, we could just go to View Boston at the top of the Prudential Center, but where's the fun in that?
