Mikkel's grandfather, Terry (Ronnie's father), had diabetes for as long as she can remember. Mikkel and Dan believe in Human Rights for ALL, no matter sexual orientation. Everyone should be able to be who they want to be and marry who they love and choose to share life with. Unfortunately, it's harder for some to enjoy equal rights than it is for others.They donate to the the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) monthly to support the continuous fight for the civil rights movements and equality for all humanity. It may be unconventional to add something like "wedding rings" to a registry however after much thought Mikkel and Dan decided it's one of the most special things to contribute to, given they'll be worn everyday. Note Dan will be getting a wedding watch in lieu of a ring, which is also on their registry. (After all, both Mikkel and Dan have never seen their fathers wear wedding rings!) Mikkel is getting two or three stackable bands from her friend and talented jewelry designer, Susie Saltzman (including the one pictured here), who also created her engagement ring. Learning about watches - or "time pieces" as true watch enthusiasts call them - are truly one of Dan's joys and passions in life! He has tools to add links and such to his own watch bands too, which makes Mikkel smile as she fondly recalls her grandma Marvin doing the same at her grandparents' kitchen table at 1433 Tyler Avenue.

Some of the best memories Dan and Mikkel have from traveling are surrounding great meals and food experiences. Contribute to a special dinner they'll use on a celebration trip to cheers to this new chapter of their lives.
