Michael and I are so excited to go to Iceland in December 2022! We plan on taking in all the experiences of winter, including seeing the Northern Lights, exploring the folklore of Iceland, and eating everything we can! This will also be Michael's first trip out of the United States, and we will also both be going to Iceland for the first time. :)

We are looking into down payment home assistance programs, but we still need to contribute 3-5% of a home's cost before we can receive that assistance. As a teacher and graduate student, we want to be able to have a home before we prepare to have our first child. :)

In Iceland, snowmobiles are used to explore ice caves that stay intact and create marvelous worlds only during the winter. Neither of us have ridden snowmobiles so it will be a great experience for both of us! And as Californians, we may not be very familiar with ice, but that doesn't mean we can't appreciate it and explore it! :)

We will go to the Blue Lagoon, one of the 25 natural wonders of the world! An on-site spa and restaurant reservation will be covered by the listed price as well. :)

This fund will help us be able to see the Northern Lights in a glass-ceilinged suite! This is a very popular thing to do in Iceland when we plan to go in December 2022, and it's definitely a bucket list item we look forward to experiencing together! :)

We will stay for a few nights in Reykjavík to enjoy the culture of the city! A true beating heart of the city, every 1 in 3 Icelanders lives in Reykjavík. Our plan includes museums, cafes, a dearth of sunlight, and plenty of brisk walks exploring the area.
