We are headed for a once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand!!!

We will definitely have our life jackets buckled tightly as we race through the waters around Queenstown on this adventure!

On day 3, we will slow things down a bit with a lovely visit to the Gibbston Valley Winery in the Otago wine region. Here we will visit the wine tour cave, and eat/drink our way through a lunch with wine pairing and a cheese and wine presentation. Claire's in it for the wine and Lisa for the cheese!

Today will be a day you all!! We head to Glenorchy where we will board a jet boat that takes us to the upper part of the Dart River. From there we board our own "funyak" (canoe) where we will paddle downstream through hard to reach parts of the glacier-fed river. Luckily it includes breaks on remote beaches and lunch! We then head back to Queenstown through Paradise Valley!

We will show up to this one hungry!! Today we will travel to Picton where we will board the Queen Charlotte Sound and venture out into the Marlborough Sounds. While cruising we will visit various salmon, mussel, and oyster farms - sampling not only amazing food, but the regions well known Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!

Continuing our tour through this amazing wine country we will visit Cloudy Bay for a tailor-made private tasting followed by lunch at Jack's Raw Bar!

Today we are going to stretch our legs as we plan a hike through the Volcanic region, near Mt. Pihanga. Greenstone Lake was formed by a giant landslide 10,000 years ago and is home to amazing wildlife!

Apparently we are exercising on this honeymoon ;) - just kidding, we are both excited for this bike tour which will allow us to ride through some of the most beautiful scenery in New Zealand and Lisa has been assured ends in some of New Zealand's best pubs! (Ok, Lisa added that part)

We are very excited to explore this geothermal area formed via thousands of years of volcanic activity. We are especially excited to see the Lady Knox geyser in action!

This afternoon we will learn more about the Maori culture from a local guide who will review the Maori culture and history. We are so excited to learn more about the amazing history if the indigenous people of New Zealand.

Did someone say food? Or what's that you say, wine? Ooohhhh, on a beautiful island???? Ok, sign us up!! Today we are incredibly excited to tour Waiheke Island's amazing food and wine scene, visiting olive oil mills, two vineyards, and enjoying a wonderful lunch.

We are so excited to explore the Queenstown food scene. We have several nights, but there are so many great choices!

Labeled a Queenstown "Must Do" this burger shop boasts to have the best burgers in the world....Claire and I are certainly traveling far enough to test that theory!

No trip to New Zealand is complete without visiting Milford Sound, often described as the 8th wonder of the world. We will fly to Milford Sound to experience panoramic views of the alpine scenery and rainforest before landing in Milford Sound. There we will board a boat and cruise the Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea, taking in the waterfalls, rainforest, and mountains! We can't wait!

Following our stop at Cloudy Bay we will head to Mahi wines where we will explore the barrel hall and cave cellar to learn about the wine making process...and taste some amazing wines!

We've dropped from the skies in Switzerland, now it is time to do it again in New Zealand! We've registered for a 12,000ft tandem skydive which will include about 40 seconds of free fall before a casual fall to earth (hopefully) with views of Mt. Ruapehu, Mt. Ngauruhoe, and Lake Taupo!

Ok team, buckle up!!! Today we are in for adventure! First we will go through a series of ziplines over Okere Falls along with crossing a swinging bridge! We will then take a break for Maori tea and a tree planting ceremony. Following our lunch we will raft down the Kaituna River over the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world, Tutea Falls! We will then spend the rest of the night drying out from our incredible white water experience!!!

Today we head toward Auckland and on the way stop at the Spellbound Glowworm Caves. These caves are illuminated by thousands of glow worms, who are apparently a true sight to behold!

When in Rome??? Watch out as we shuck our way through one of New Zealand's most popular oyster bars! I've promised Claire I will give it a go, but I've confirmed the menu has other offerings just in case they aren't my thing!
