We will be flying from Phoenix to Charleston after the wedding!

We are excited to be staying at the charming Belmond Charleston Place, located in historic downtown Charleston. We love history and we have been told that history jumps off the walls at this landmark hotel!

We have planned a visit to this historic home located only a 10 minute walk from our hotel. It was was constructed at the end of the 19th century and is known for its spiral staircase, detailed furnishings, and beautiful gardens.

We will be renting a car for $35/ day for the last two days of our honeymoon to see the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens and to drive back to Duke for Kendra's graduation!

This tour includes a 30 minute narrated cruise from Liberty Square in downtown Charleston (just a 5 minute walk from our hotel) to Fort Sumter. When we arrive, National Park Service Rangers will provide further details about the Fort and its role in the Civil War. During our one hour visit to the fort, we will be able to explore the museum as well. We will then enjoy a scenic cruise back to our departure point.

We have planned a visit to this beautiful historic house and gardens located on the Ashley River outside downtown Charleston. It is one of the oldest plantations in the South, dating back to 1676. The gardens are known for their azaleas and oak trees. A reconstructed and restored plantation house sits on the property as well as a conservatory.

We are looking forward to relaxing at the spa at the Belmond!

We will be renting bikes for a day on Monday to explore downtown Charleston. We plan to visit the Battery, Waterfront Park, White Point Gardens, and Rainbow Row!
