They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what are eyes used for if not to see? We use these eyes to peer through the windows that life sets up for us in order to see the world as it is. Without windows in our lives, we are all trapped within 4 walls, not knowing what is happening just outside the safety of our homes. Though our home has windows, they have reached their expiration date and have decided it is time to move on, warranting replacements (because though a summer's breeze is nice, having the option to close the window is certainly more than ideal).

When Kat said "yes!" to Kyle when he asked her to marry him, he was absolutely floored. Once he started putting the pieces back together that she had actually agreed to spend the rest of her life with him, they began working on planning for their wedding, which as many people know involve a lot of moving parts. Much like this, their floor to their house has a lot of moving parts. With older wood settling a little too well, it became obvious that a lot of work would be needed in order to get the entire first floor on the same level. While it's exciting to see that a marble placed in once spot will slowly make its way to the center of the house (see "foundation repair"), it became apparent that the older wood floor needed a makeover.

There is nothing more precious than feeling the warmth of a loved one close by. This can only be enhanced by the heat from a newly made fire roaring in the fireplace. What is not appreciated is the smoke from said fire, desperately attempting to escape the flames and make its way back into our home. While the breath of life felt just outside the hearth feels like it can bring life, the smoke that follows feels like it can bring nothing but death. A new liner for our old home's chimney would make the bitter cold winters more bearable and would make sitting by the fire a merry time had by all!

They say that nothing tastes sweeter than honey, but ask a moth and they will tell you that nothing is sweeter than hitting its face into a bright lamp that it thinks is the moon. We have decided to bring these two tales together into what is known as a "honeymoon." We would greatly appreciate any opportunity provided to follow our hearts and hit our faces on the light of paradise, all while enjoying the sweet tastes of local nectars....honey....honeymoon...yup...

Anyone can agree that a good, strong relationship must be built on a solid foundation. This is essential in order for the relationship to flourish and not collapse. Similarly, a house needs a strong foundation to stand tall and proud for the years to come. Our foundation to our house has had other ideas and decided that it is time for some well needed maintenance to remain standing strong. Any help for this restoration project would be greatly appreciated.
