We used Imabari towels for the first time in Japan and now we're obsessed! They're known for their absorbency and softness - "An Imabari towel does not float, must not float, cannot float. It has all of five seconds to sink, proving then its worth as Japan's most famous towel for its absolute absorbency and softness."

We've been cooking together since our early dates, and often prefer trying a new recipe to going out. We'd love to level up our skills in a cool new location on a culinary retreat! And maybe even host some dinner parties when we're back ;)

Project READ is an organization Adri has been involved with since 2016. They provide tutoring and English literacy programs for local kids and adults at the Redwood City library. We've spent a lot of time together in Mexico City, and have fallen in love with Mooni! Mooni is an art gallery featuring both local Mexican artists and international artists. On our first trip to CDMX we bought a funky collage we call "Foxy Park Ranger" and we'd love to add to our collection of exciting, one-of-a-kind art. When we first started dating we went to a City Arts & Lectures talk with Jad Abumrad (our favorite podcast host!) and have since made it a tradition to go to as many talks as possible. We've seen Keegan Michael-Key, Leslie Jones, Abraham Verghese, and lots more fun guests! We'd love to become members to help support the community and attend more events in the upcoming year.

In 2023 we visited Hakone, a small mountain town in Japan near Mt. Fuji. We learned about the intricate process of Hakone-Yosegi-Zaiku, a technique to combine various types of wood in geometric patterns. We would love include one of these pieces in our home.

We have a long list of camping sites we want to visit! Spending time outdoors has been a big part of our relationship, and we love exploring new parts of California through camping.

Jeremy Novy is an SF-based artist known for his street art of koi fish - he has painted street art in our neighborhood and we pass his koi fish every day on our walks to Duboce Park!
