As many of you know, we closed on our first home the day after Pennsylvania's shut down orders went into effect. It is a fixer-upper in our dream neighborhood (Regent Square) and we have been taking advantage of this time by renovating it piece by piece. About a week after we moved in, we had completely gutted the first floor, tearing down walls, reconfiguring the staircase, replacing the flooring, doors and trim and fully renovated the kitchen. As if that wasn't enough, over the last year, we built a backyard patio with raised garden beds, refreshed our three-season room and with help from our dads replaced a crumbling retaining wall in the driveway. Missing the smell of sawdust and the sound of hammering nails at midnight, we began our "Phase 2" renovations over the holidays. We are now in the process of reconfiguring the rooms upstairs to add an office and nursery space and to renovate the bathrooms which have beautiful original powder pink and gray tile from the 1960s ;) We truly have everything we need but would be so very grateful for any contribution to our renovation fund, or better yet, for an extra pair of hands on the weekends!
