City Hope is a community center in the Tenderloin neighborhood of SF where Adrienne and Aron have been volunteering. It's mission is to empower those living in the Tenderloin to establish stable, healthy lives. Aron has been volunteering as a Big Brother in San Francisco for 6 years and is currently mentoring an 11 year old named LeWarren. Both Adrienne and Aron feel that this is an important program to help kids connect with positive role models and create lasting relationships with mentors who encourage their development. Edgewood Center for Children and Families provides a safe place for children that is free from abuse and neglect where they can learn and grow. Founded in San Francisco in 1851 as a refuge for orphans of the Gold Rush, Edgewood is the oldest children’s nonprofit in the western U.S. Adrienne has had some wonderful experiences working with Edgewood in the past year.
