What's a great vacation without great food?!

Crete is Greece's biggest island and it has been highly recommended that we rent a car so we can explore the cities of Chania, Rethymno and Irakleio. There are also many beautiful beaches within driving distance to relax on! The "mini car" is the most readily available (and economical) to rent, plus it's pretty adorable.

Here is the description (SOUNDS AMAZING!!!!) Depart from Vlihada Marina sailing past the Ancient City of Akrotiri to the Red and White Beaches. Sail past the Indian Head Mountain and Venetian Lighthouse into the picturesque Caldera. You will visit private bays for swimming and snorkeling. After the Hot Springs, a delicious bbq lunch is prepared in a beautiful secluded bay. After lunch, you then sail past the Volcanic Islands and Aspronisi to Vlihada Marina. Suggested departure time is 10:00am.

We are hoping to honeymoon for a full 3 weeks and will need a place to stay while in Greece! For our first stop, Santorini, we will spend almost a full week at Smaro Studios. We would like to travel to Greece and Ireland for our honeymoon! Our plan is to spend two and a half weeks exploring Greece (Neither of us has ever been!!) and just a few days soaking up the pub scene and culture of Ireland (one of Alexis' favorite cities in the world). Knosos is supposed to be one of the most impressive relics of the ancient Mediterranean world. The minoan palace was reconstructed in the early 20th century

This was built in 1573 and is one of the largest Venetian castles ever built!

Elafonisi Island is an hour boat trip each way (in Crete) and is said to have white beaches and a bright blue, clear lagoon! We can play on the beach all day and have lunch before returning back to our hotel.

This is listed as one of the top 10 restaurants in all of Crete, plus it's scenery looks adorable!
