We've been heating with a wood stove for the last couple years, and while there's nothing like the warmth of fire on a frigid day, we have our sights set on installing a heat pump in the next year.

We've made a lot of progress since May 2020, using our first couple weeks of lockdown to remove 100ft of invasive shrubs on our property line. And yet, the work continues! Trees age out and have to be removed, and newly claimed ground needs planting!

A quieter, more convenient way to cut! As we continue to clear brush on our property and process firewood, having a lighter, quieter (easier to start) cutting tool is the bees knees!

When a huge maple tree fell in a wind storm last year, we were very lucky that it just grazed the house, ripping a window screen and leaving a few holes in our old faded siding. However, the damage to the siding has nudged this project up toward the top of the home improvement list!
